Congrats to some Gladstone Grads

On January 15-19th at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, 12 University teams competed in the Western Engineering Competition.  In the Senior Design Challenge UBC and SFU placed 1st and 3rd.

The UBC team had four students and three of them were Gladstone graduates, Devin Luu, Alex Jew and Kelvin Tam. These former students are all in 4th year mechanical Engineering (they are all in co-op programs too).westernenglogo
The SFU team had one Gladstone student in this senior design challenge and he was the only first year student on the team.  Simon Zhong was on the third place team.
The first placed team from UBC will advance to the Canadian Engineering Championships.  Those students were also part of the first Gladstone team that represented us at the VEX robotics World Champions.
